Advise: to travel from the USA to smaller cities in Colombia (such as Pereira) you might want to book the arrival to a major city such as Bogotá and purchase the domestic flight with a major local airline in Colombia such as Avianca. That will save you money since you will not have to pay the initial airline for booking a second airline. Be aware that local flights have lower baggage permissions (less weight allowances) and might want to charge for the extra pounds, also you have to do the determinations so that you have enough times to switch planes. The same idea could apply to other countries.
